Requirements

The IBC-HHX™ designation is a board-appointed credential for practitioners who serve on credentialing examination and review panels. Board Examiners ensure the integrity of the credentialing process and uphold the professional standards of ICONIC Board certifications.

  • 1. Active IBC-HHD™ or Above (Tier IV Minimum) Must hold and maintain active IBC-HHD™ or IBC-DHH™ credential in good standing. Board Examiners are expected to demonstrate advanced expertise and professional maturity.
  • 2. Clean Ethics Record No active ethics violations, disciplinary investigations, or Board sanctions. Board Examiners represent the integrity of the credentialing process and must model ethical excellence.
  • 3. Board Examiner Training Program Completion Complete the Board-provided Examiner Training Program (provided upon appointment). Covers review panel procedures, scoring rubrics, confidentiality protocols, and bias mitigation.
  • 4. Examiner Conduct Standards Agreement Sign agreement to examiner conduct standards and confidentiality protocols. Examiners must maintain strict confidentiality regarding applicant materials and panel deliberations.
  • 5. Minimum Availability Commitment Commit to participating in a minimum of 2 review panels per year (each panel typically 2-4 hours). Examiners are scheduled based on availability and expertise areas.
  • 6. Appointment Fee One-time appointment fee of $295 upon Board invitation. Annual renewal fee of $195 maintains the IBC-HHX™ designation alongside your primary credential renewal.
Note on Appointment Process: The IBC-HHX™ designation is board-appointed, not open-application. The Board invites IBC-HHD™ and IBC-DHH™ holders to serve as examiners based on demonstrated expertise, professional standing, and regional/specialty balance needs. If invited, you will receive a formal invitation with appointment details.
