ICONIC Board Diplomate in Holistic Health
The IBC-DHH™ is the highest credential attainable through examination in the ICONIC Board system. It recognizes practitioners who have demonstrated exceptional depth of knowledge through a comprehensive written and applied board examination — reserved for those at the apex of professional holistic health practice.
The Diplomate credential is examination-based. Unlike Tiers I–IV, the IBC-DHH™ is not awarded through portfolio review alone — it requires passing ICONIC Board's comprehensive board examination in addition to meeting all eligibility criteria.
Applicants must hold a current, active IBC-HHD™ (Tier IV) credential in good standing. Credentials under ethics review or inactive status are not eligible.
Must demonstrate at least 5 years of active holistic health practice from date of initial IBC credentialing. Documented client hours and practice verification required.
A 4-hour written examination covering holistic health principles, ethics, professional standards, scope of practice, client safety, and integrative practice models. Administered bi-annually.
Structured review of a submitted case portfolio demonstrating advanced professional judgment in real-world practice situations. Reviewed by a panel of IBC-DHH™ examiners.
A 500–800 word statement of professional philosophy, contribution to the field, and scope of advanced practice. Reviewed by the Board's credentialing committee.
Non-refundable examination fee covers written exam administration, case portfolio review, and credential issuance. One re-examination opportunity within 12 months included at no additional cost.
The IBC-DHH™ examination is the only formal examination in the ICONIC Board credentialing system. It distinguishes the Diplomate credential from all preceding tiers.
200 multiple-choice and short-answer questions covering holistic health theory, professional ethics, clinical decision-making, scope of practice boundaries, and integrative practice frameworks.
5 de-identified case studies demonstrating advanced professional judgment. Reviewed by a 3-member panel of current IBC-DHH™ holders serving as Board Examiners (IBC-HHX™).
Minimum 75% on the written examination. Case portfolio assessed on a 4-point rubric across 5 competency domains. Both parts must be passed within the same examination cycle.
Examinations offered twice yearly (Spring and Fall windows). Applications close 60 days prior. Results communicated within 30 days of examination date.
The Diplomate designation is immediately distinguishable from application-based credentials. Clients, insurers, and institutions recognize examination-based board certification as the gold standard of professional credentialing.
