Their Story

Sarah Lindqvist was a software engineer at a fintech startup when a panic attack in a conference room changed the direction of her life. The ER doctor told her nothing was physically wrong. A breathwork facilitator showed her what was actually happening — and how to stop it.

“Three sessions of conscious connected breathing did more for my nervous system than two years of SSRIs. I don’t say that to diminish medication — I say it because nobody had ever offered me a somatic option.”

Sarah trained in multiple breathwork modalities — Holotropic, Wim Hof Method, and SKY Breath Meditation — before completing a 500-hour meditation teacher training. She left tech in 2023, opened Breathe & Be Studio in Denver’s RiNo district, and hasn’t looked back.

She chose ICONIC Board’s Associate tier as her first professional credential in the holistic space, viewing it as the starting point of a credential pathway she plans to advance through.

Practice Philosophy

Sarah approaches breathwork as engineering for the nervous system. Her tech background isn’t a liability — it’s her superpower. She tracks client outcomes, measures physiological markers (HRV, cortisol patterns), and builds personalized protocols based on data as much as intuition.

“Breathwork isn’t woo. It’s the most accessible nervous system intervention that exists. You don’t need a prescription, a gym, or a special diet. You just need to breathe differently. But ‘differently’ needs to be guided by someone who knows what they’re doing — that’s why credentials matter.”
